Staying Current with Changing Times

Updating Your Website

Has your website theme been up there since before COVID and you just don’t have the time, talent or desire to make the effort to update it?

Website changes take time, I know! Pictures can quickly become outdated. People leave. New services emerge. Emails change.

Meanwhile your most visible marketing tool slowly (or quickly) becomes outdated.

It may be possible to do a refresh that won’t take forever, but gives a fresh outlook.

When taking the time to learn to make the changes yourself feels overwhelming, it’s fair game to bring in an expert. Don’t always assume that it’s going to take took long, cost too much or be too hard.

Take these 3 steps for updating your website right now:

  • Take a minute to double check your links. The contact email addresses and phone numbers. Make sure if someone goes to your website to contact you that it all works and is accurate. This can be a disastrous weak link in your marketing to sales process.
  • Is your website responsive? That means it works on a desktop, tablet, phone and more. If your site only looks good in one format, it’s not going to perform the way you need it to.
  • Proofread your ABOUT page. Does it still best reflect your company’s goals, mission, value and personnel? If you haven’t reviewed it recently you might find discrepancies you hadn’t realized were there.
